Trouwfoto’s Eelco en Haley – My first “first look”

Eelco en Haley heb ik heel vroeg in het jaar ontmoet. Haley is Amerikaanse en woont samen met Eelco in Amsterdam. In september trouwden ze in Groesbeek, de Wolfsberg. Ik heb met Eelco en Haley op onze kennismakings-date gesproken over “the first look”. Iets wat in Amerika heel gewoon is. Het houdt in dat de bruid en de bruidegom voor hun trouwen elkaar voor het eerst zien. Ze spraken af om het moment in het bos te houden. Dit was mijn eerste “first look” die ik mocht fotograferen.


Ik vond het een zeer spannend moment. In het bos stond Eelco te wachten op Haley. Ik had haar zojuist gezien (en bewonderd) en gesproken hoe en waar “the look” zou plaats vinden. Ik snelde vooruit om alles goed in beeld te kunnen brengen. Vol met adrenaline stond ik voor Eelco. Achter hem zag ik Haley van ver tevoorschijn komen. Ze wandelde in een bos in een hele mooie witte jurk. Een mooi contrast om te zien. Op dat moment was ik dus de enige die ze allebei kon zien. Eelco kon zien aan mijn toenemende glimlach dat het bijna zover was. Ik voelde het zweet langs mijn voorhoofd stromen terwijl ik mijn camera in de nu -gaat-het-gebeuren-stand zette. Ze raakte hem aan, hij draaide zich om….. en daar was het fantastiche moment waar ik deel van uit maakte. Wat enorm warm en lief was het! Echt geweldig! De “first look” in volle glorie!
